Dr. Bradley Martin, Professor of Piano at CSU Chico, presents a recital of popular masterpieces and lesser-known gems. Opening with Bach’s French Suite in G major, the first half also contains Mozart’s Andante for a Musical Clock (a truly gorgeous work from his last year) and the Rondo in F major. In the second half we hear ingenious arrangements of songs by the Beatles in the style of Bach. Three popular works by Frédéric Chopin round out the program: the enchanting Waltz in A-flat major, ravishing Third Ballade, and the ever-popular Heroic Polonaise.
